#1 4p1l and djvu curves help please?

Post by Paul Barker »

There are apparently some curves in djvu form and I don't have any program capable of reading or converting djvu.

If anyone does could they plse read it convert it or take a picture of your screen and put the picture somewhere to view please?

Why not just download a DjVu viewer ?

I thought someone may already have a converter. I don't expect anyone to download a converter especially. I don't want to risk doing so and wouldn't expect anyone to, as often these trails lead to your computer full of junk at best viruses at worst.

I only require to see this one file and I am done. When I have seen it may prove to have been a waste of effort just like the useless curves you also found. It may even be those same curves.

Paul,

Try these curves. Particularly the first link on the page for the latest curves.

Very interested to see what you do with these.

ciao

Send me one (or more) by post, and I'll happily plot the graphs for you if that'd help...

Interesting you can clearly see the "pentode/tetrode kink" in those plots...

I've just had a mad moment and purchased four of these on e-bay from the Ukraine.

Seems they can be lovely pre amp valves as well.

Yes I bought a box of 8-off not long ago after seeing the curves and reading the pre-amp thread on DIY Audio . I must get on and e-mail Rod Coleman to see what he can offer as a small heater option for these .
Microphonic, James tells me, but looks like it can be solved with suspenders, so to speak .

I wonder how many more peeps have bought say a quad of these and mean to get round to them .... ahemmmm. I'm enjoying the 26s too much at present, oh but I've got some hummmmm at last - yuk.
