#1 Owston 25 ?

Unread post by steve s »

After a few email exchanges we have a couple of dates and the costs, im now dealing with the owston hall hotel and they are working by their price list.

Costs are now
200 room hire
3..50 pp tea coffee
Lowest buffet menu 11.95 pp

It's Italian now..the buffet is pizza based there a full menu on darios website.
https://dariosristorante.co.uk/home/sala-eventi/

Prices worrks out at £30 per head for 15 people
And £25 per head for 21 people (you can easily calculate for other numbers)

Dates this year that I can make and are free..
27th Sept or the 18th October, just the Saturday my preference would be the Sept date.

If there are sufficient numbers and interest I'm happy to go ahead, I'd need a fairly quick response for either dates or both, and commitment to attend, as no shows on the day would be costly

Post away.. and a decision can be made by the weekend?
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

27th Sep fine with me, can't make the 18th Oct
I think the main reason why Europeans no longer want to travel to the USA is the big time difference. For me, it's now 7pm. In the USA it's now 1933.

I think I can do the day-time of the 17th of Sept (logistically difficult, probably wouldn't be able to bring anything), or all day of the 18th of Oct.

Would prefer the latter.

Either date will work for me, Steve. No problem with paying my share either.

Thanks for taking this on again.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

17th ? Typo or error. :) Should be 27th Sept.

Woops, did mean the 27th. That's the day that'll be difficult for me - I have a show booked in the evening, but there's potential for a matinee as well.

Assuming I don't get sent anywhere for work, either date is fine for me.

Would be nice to demo my latest DAC incarnation.

Either date OK for me at this time. Costs OK. :D

Provided the weather will cooperate! :D

I've got the Kubelik DAC (thanks again Ray for the parts) that I could demo with the 'new' transistor amp and pre-amp, problee be with the white speakers. If I try hard enough I might also have a PCL86 p-p amp.

27th best here. If nothing else finished I’ll bring Mo’s kel 84 and my se el38 a dac + rocu or apple tv tethered to my iphone Castle Warwick speakers on their own stands.

Maybe a single QII or if not yet in the land of the living; a broken QII for eye candy and discussion. Haden Boardman’s one is in shocking shape and still waiting for a power transformer I bought and payed for.

Probably can do both dates…. Will check with Dave if he can go for the 27th as first preference. Not sure what we will bring, as haven’t built anything new for a while. Do have a MEH speaker, that maybe I can bump up the priority list.
