FUC*ING BRILLIANT.
I'm slightly confused here - I know it's not fashionable to read them, but what did the instructions say? :D

PS. All the Android TV boxes allow on-screen setup and most come with a remote. As it's Android TV, you can also download an app for your 'phone that does the same job as the remote.

The instructions (such as they are) just mention downloading the Google app, which is not applicable (as I now know) to a PC or laptop with windows.

On the back of the box it says "Anyone at home can cast to the TV using Android, I phone, and laptops with Chrome."

Chrome browser now has the Chromecast facility deleted.

PS Not everyone has (or indeed wants) a smart phone.

Seriously, I'd return it as unsuitable and get the box I linked to above. You can then do the setup on the TV (lots of Youtube examples of how to do that) and get the inbuilt Chromecast Ultra plus a whole lot more...

I've spoken to Currys and it's being collected tomorrow. :)

Nick, are you 100% sure this Android box will enable me to cast from my laptop to my TV ?

I did google the item and certain things seemed (to me) to need a lot of faffing about to do what I wanted.

As I don't have intimate knowledge of your laptop, no, I can't be 100% certain. However, I cast from my PC with those apps that have a cast icon or equivalent, e.g. YouTube, VLC etc., just fine with Windows 10 2004.

It was collected yesterday (Wednesday) by DPD and this morning I got notification that £25 had been refunded to my PayPal account.

Nice. :D

Nothing, at the moment.
