It will have done anyway, and the new plant will make whatever is practical at the time. Solid State batteries have been known for over 100 years and development of them for car use is going on everywhere for over 10 years, so its not as if VW/QuantumScape announcement would have taken anyone by surprise.

It may be just me, but I see a small problem there.

I think the tariff free customer base and supply chain would be as much an advantage as a grant/

Cheers Phil, so around 40% loss in the deep cold, though the pre heat used a lot less than I thought it would.
