Stve Hackett left Genesis because he didn't like the direction Collins, Banks and Rutherford were taking it in. Anyway, leaving aside the question of personal taste for his albums (I like some but not all), I have to ask whether the comment on his Genesis based gigs represents the voice of experience - have you actually been to one?

I don’t think anyone would agree with your comments on Hackett leaving not even Hackett. At the time he complained of not enough song writing credits.

Spotify will tell you all you need to know about hacketts fascimilie of Genesis . Very kind of Genesis to let his tribute band tour.

Woke up this morning....
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

The reason he didn't get much song-writing exposure was because what he wanted to do was out of kilter with what the other three wanted to do so they rather froze him out. QED, he left because he didn't like the direction Collins, Banks and Rutherford were takng it in.

You could have just answered 'no, I've never been to a Hackett gig'.

Anyway, perhaps I should thank you for taking a little pressure off my wallet - no need to pay out for expensive tickets to experience a live event when a Spotify subscription will suffice.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

If you were thinking of watching Hackett do Genesis , it’s a wise choice.

Ps. Why do people do people insist on getting so indignant when your personal views don’t chime with theirs and you express these strongly for entertainment? Anybody would think I voted Tory

I assumed you did. Someone must I guess.

Doesn't that make it more awkward to scrape the contents out?

It can do, depends if it's a large egg (or not) and the size of ones spoon.

I didn't realise that there was such a thing as an egg spoon - we always used teaspoons to eat chucky eggs when I was a kid.

There you are Chris.

Also, if the egg cup is a tad too small for the egg, pointy end down helps a bit.

Nor me, but this quote from him I like.
