5 days elapsed from submission to getting them back... got 21 boards rather than the 20 I ordered... 55mm x 40mm (mounting holes 45mm x 30mm, M3) - quite bijoux... Board quality is pretty good - hole registration is spot on, silk screen crisp and well-defined, though possibly a fraction of a mm out, solder mask spot-on and rather cool, i.e. the critical stuff is perfect :)

Gold and black - looks cool :) Just need to see if they work now !

I have the following as registering an interest (I'll edit this list to keep it up-to-date):
  • Thomas x 4 kits
  • Simon x 4 kits
  • Cressy/ant x 1 kit
  • Ray x 1 kit
  • SteveTS x 4 kits
  • Paul x 4 kits + extra zeners for 2 boards
  • Ali x 4 kits
  • Michael x 2 kits
  • Any others ?
If these boards work (I'll let you know) can you give me an indication of numbers where you have just said "a few" or somesuch, and whether you are interested in kits (price at cost) or just the board.

Cheers

I'd like four boards too please. Not sure what a kit comprises but might as well make them kits too :-). Thanks for doing this.

Am in Paris this weekend for Scotland vs. France and, more importantly, Sevenoaks RFC vs Racing Metro :) Preseason rugby heaven !

Board test will have to wait until next week as the nice big caps have yet to arrive from China...

Kits will include board plus all components necessary for a fully populated board, I.e. all 40 zeners and all other bits.

thank you, while you are ordering are you able to get me extra zenners. I thought to get my 400v I would just piggy back a tag strip of the extra zenners. Just enough to make two of the boards 400v.

My only problem with this is that the PP cap is only rated for 400V - higher rated ones are considerably bigger... I realise that this implies 400VDC continuous working (at least I hope so), but...

...I suppose you *could* run it at 400V continuous, however I always like to leave considerable (10%+) headroom....

Simple to solve with another cap on the piggy back board. Can you supply two extra caps?
