Sometimes I think I am getting better at wiring up. There is an art to this. But really I just shove things in, realise my mistake, burn fingers, try again and get it right-ish eventually. I will never win prozes for neatness. I tried that funny aluminium plate stuff and found that unless I seriousl...

That's interesting Nick, I know there is a fairly big family of these types of valves (e.g. 6EW7) and I am using 6FJ7 (decatron) in the latest push pull jobbie. I'd assumed 6FJ7 = 6DN7 but now I am wondering. I'll look up the spec. to compare and contrast. - can't give 6EM7s away! or I'd be worried ...

Spam
We are getting to odd pornyspam here aren't we. I've seen other places get loads and I s'pose, further, that there isn't much we can do about it.
Is it 'mostly harmless'?

Mr Purvine has replied usefully and comprehensively. Amity, here I come. In the meantime I have been building the PushPull version of the Bottleheads SEX amp. I used 6FJ7s simply because they look different to 6DN7. Input transformer / splitter and outputs are tiny 10k Hammonds. I am astonished at h...

Help! O-Netics
I keep reading Bud Purvine and O-Netics so I googled for about half an hour (and found some of you out there!) but no Bud and no O.
Is there a website? Is this a closely guarded secret and I have several levels of appallingly painful and embarrassing initiations I have to go through etc etc?

That's a really funny picture, Paul. I think I escaped relatively easily from Philip. He is running through several ways of driving push pull output pairs whereas the amp he supplied interstage and outputs for is a neat 4 watt jobbie so, as you can imagine, nothing expensive. What I'd like are some ...

I'm suspicious .... I really like Nick's OBs and Steve's too. They are coming from dfferent places too, but .... are they more realistic than, well some other speakers. I don't think OBs are the final solution but they can sound dead good. At the weekend I was listening to some lovely live baroque m...
