Hi-Russ Abbott used to say (when he was a hi-fi modder) that you cant have too big a transformer !!

You may not need all the milliamps (or amps) very often,but they ARE there.

Hi-those 360-0-360 toroids are the ones i am using on the PT15 monoblocks that are work in progress as we speak.

Hi-the trouble with monoblocks is you have to do everything twice !

(as i am finding out at this very moment).

That is why i went for pre 3,as it can drive long interconnects and i can place the power amps close to each speaker.

Hi-can anyone tell me if the VR tubes (OA2),and the C3g get hot enough to need ventilation holes drilled in my amp baseplate ?

I would rather not have the need to drill loads more holes !
