Hi Nick-the transformer says its 50VA with twin secondarys (i will connect both secondarys together in parallel)-one transformer for each PT15.

Cant measure the cap DCR cos its on a tagboard and wired up !

Just checked my parts box and i have 16 1N5820 which seem to be 20V 3A schottky diodes-will ...

Hi Nick-i am using 4 UF5401 diodes to rectify the 9V AC.

Hi DTB-i have put together a Bluebell order for the remaining parts i need for the PT15 (resistors, caps, knobs) so i have added my Phono3s resistors to that order .

I should be ready to order in a day or so.

Thanks for the offer but i will ...

Hi Nick-thanks very much for those calculations.

In my head it sort of looked right ! :)

I will add some 1R 12W resistors to my Bluebell order.

Regulator heatsink

Hi-i am new to working with regulators and i would like some advice on whether the heatsink i have made for the regulator on my PT15 heater supply is good enough before i bolt it all together.

Graaf GM20 schematic

Hi-i asked this question on the "other" forum some time ago without success but has anyone got a copy of the Graaf GM20 amp circuit WITH component values ?

Has anyone ever had a chance to compare them with "other" valve amps ?

It seems "Dr" John Caswell is a fan of them.

Hi-Russ Abbott used to say (when he was a hi-fi modder) that you cant have too big a transformer !!

You may not need all the milliamps (or amps) very often, but they ARE there. :D

Hi Darren-when you are settled in perhaps you should organise a Welshfest (or an open day) and have an Audiojumble as well ?

Just be sure to tell the sheep. (about the welly wearers !)

Hi-those 360-0-360 toroids are the ones i am using on the PT15 monoblocks that are work in progress as we speak.

Hi-the trouble with monoblocks is you have to do everything twice !

(as i am finding out at this very moment).

That is why i went for pre 3,as it can drive long interconnects and i can place the power amps close to each speaker.

Hot valves ?

Hi-can anyone tell me if the VR tubes (OA2),and the C3g get hot enough to need ventilation holes drilled in my amp baseplate ?

I would rather not have the need to drill loads more holes !
