See that blue pecked line going through Calstock and Gunnislake, they're all mad to the left of it - it's Cornwall!

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

That's a great area - my sister & her hubby (he was in the Navy [submarines]) lived in Cawsand, so I spent a lot of time sailing on Hobie Cats round Plymouth Sound, Cawsand Bay, Fort Picklecombe & Rame head - also done some Christmas midnight mass services up there and many a happy day sail...

Re: G99 and Neat

Ant, instead of the hole saw and router have you considered using a Forstner drill bit? http://static.axminster.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/920x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/5/0/501936_xl.jpg You'll need a pillar drill to do a good job but it might avoid damaging the finish you've ...

Correction. I misread the computer and 'just over 1000ft' was my maximum elevation for the ride, Dunkeswell Airfield is at just under 900ft; still makes it the highest licensed airfield though.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Do you ever head in Yeovil direction, Ray? I've been in that direction once or twice but not as far as Yeovil and I obviously avoid the A303. We have some good friends who live between Yeovil and Sherborne so I think a journey that way is on the cards. We're planning to be down around Plymouth when...

Re: OB with Alpair 12P and Eminence Beta 15

There is no magic in a series crossover. I have modeled many series and parallel crossovers and the parallel crossover has always given excellent results. Smooth linear SPL response both for magnitude and phase. Measurements have confirmed the modeled results. Once you have the baffles built and th...

I caught this on ClassicFM in the car last evening; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clQj7uxih8E It sounded interesting so I looked it up and it turns out it's a computer game soundtrack; http://www.unravelgame.com/en_GB/unravel-soundtrack-available.html I am enjoying some more of the soundtrack now ...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?

In comparison to the live experience, most "hi-fi" sounds like a dry brittle husk from which all the living essence has been drained; which is why IMO your system needs to put the music above all else, if you want to have any hope of long term satisfaction with it. Totally agree Steve, li...

Re: OB with Alpair 12P and Eminence Beta 15

I do not see options in BASTA to do a passive series crossover or to convert the frequency domain response into the time domain. That largely explains why I've been struggling to understand Basta for my own OB project... I think I'll just build mine as per Nick's drive unit complement/crossover and...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Do you mean highest in actual height Ray ? It seems the cafe across the road is highly regarded, were you tempted ? Phil, one of the biplane crew was telling me some stuff, including that Dunkeswell is the airfield at the highest elevation in the UK - just over 1000ft according to my bike com...
