Re: General health matters.

Hi Ray, Greg's post above is an excellent example of how things can go well, despite a pessimistic prediction.

Re: Nothing In Particular

Looks like I'm getting BT "digital voice" in the near future.

That includes a free update to full fibre.

From the NHS web site.

"Long-term side effects
If you take omeprazole for more than 3 months, the levels of magnesium in your blood may fall.

Low magnesium can make you feel tired, confused, dizzy and cause muscle twitches, shakiness and an irregular heartbeat. If you get any of these symptoms ...

Nice to know the gabapentin works. You'd be a lot grumpier if it didn't.

We wouldn't want a grumpy Dennis.

What is really needed is a pill that makes us think the Labour government, the UK being a Muslim country, with sharia law and rape gangs in every town is not something to worry ...

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Sad day as I've sold my BMW R1200R.

I had not ridden it since covid struck, and my left hand was no longer strong enough to operate the clutch lever for more than short periods.

To be honest, I should have sold it a few years ago, but thats life.

Still got the TriBsa scrambler, but thats in a ...

Re: Seasons Greetings 2024

Yes, seasons greetings to all, particularly those suffering medical issues like Ray, Paul B, Steve S and Dennis.(sorry if I forgot anyone. :( )

Also, remembering our dear departed friend Colin.

I've just put my pork joint in the oven, so about 13:30 should be tucking into my Christmas dinner. :)

Re: It's time to go full Karna Kay

At one time Russian capacitors were highly thought of.

I have a pair of 4uf 630V PIO (although in this case the P in PIO is not paper).

They are almost identical to the Ebay listing below but mine are +/- 5%

If suitable for your needs I would donate them to your project. :)
