WOW! That 4212E is epic. I remember seeing that one in the HiFi World article “Know your Triodes”. 84W on the filament alone……. build an amp with 2 of those, and with the rest of the circuit - HT supply etc, you won’t need heating during the winter! :D The 833a (Russian GU-48) filament is 100W (10v...

I'm back home as of Wednesday evening. :D

Lowest point was hearing the man in the next bed get told by his consultant that he was riddled with cancer and had (probably) only weeks to live. :(

Just need to get fit again now.

Update.

I'm still in hospital, fit enough to get up to use toilet facilities.

Getting antibiotics and nebulisers daily, but hopefully may not be here much longer. :)

I've seen the specialist just now and he is concerned about my chest and has arranged for me to have a scan.
