Exactly Greg, they should have evidence of you entering and leaving, showing times.. otherwise its just their word

In my case the "evidence" of my coming and going is irrefutable, the contention is whether I was in the shop, or not.
I'm waiting to hear from Parking eye with regard to my appeal, then ----
A) they allow the appeal and all is well.
B) I search my mums house for the receipt.
C) I find a bank statement (mums) with the shop transaction shown.
B & C I can do on Wednesday.
And Greg, I'm not ignoring you and thanks so much for the offer.

A bank statement won’t show the date and time the transaction took place

Not quite so.Daniel Quinn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 7:13 pm A bank statement won’t show the date and time the transaction took place
I checked my own bank statement (online) and my debit card transactions DO show the date of the transaction, but not time.
It's probably unlikely that anyone would visit the same supermarket twice (or more) in one day. Possible if the supermarket had a filling station, but Aldi don't, as far as I know.
I have internet banking for my mum, but only when at her house.

Good news, I'm at Mums today, and although she said the Aldi receipt was lost, I've managed to find it.
The receipt was timed at 15:49 and I was timed out of the car park at 15:54.
So I will contact Aldi customer services and see what they say.

So, I went to the Aldi shop again, and in the car park there are notices (hard to read unless you get close) that instructs one to enter your registration number on a terminal inside the store.
I went in, but could not see this terminal, seems they are located the other side of the tills. Fortunately the nice man on my till was telling everyone how the system worked.
One you've entered the reg number you have 1.5 hours from the moment the camera clocks you coming in.

So you didn’t follow the new parking rules… Phil, so are you paying the fine?

Because it's a new (and IMHO poorly implemented in the first few weeks) system I am allowed to send a copy of the receipt for the matter to be settled without payment of any fine.

I got notification this morning that the parking charge has been cancelled.

Well done, although the ‘good boy’ bit might be tough
