More orders for bits have gone in to Farnell, Rapid and HFC.
6EM7s have been dug out from the bottom of the valve box.
Statistical Reg boards have been made up.
Apart from ordering a few more bits, there's not a lot else to say until the iron arrives and the chassis' are done.

I'm aiming to have it all built before Owston, by which time the stereo Barbarik will have been sold.
I also have a possible customer for the "Jet-Set" radiogram style console unit from a female friend of Melanie's, who is well into 50s and 60s retro,
Looks like I'll be busy :)

Apart from the iron, I now have all the parts ready to go:

The BTE cases are beautifully powder coated in silver, by a local firm.
At the moment our Ant is sourcing some walnut for the end cheeks or front/rear panels,
depending on how I decide to proceed.
Ant's powder coaters will do all the transformer end-bells when the iron arrives
so that the final finishes will be much more durable than I can achieve with
automotive paint and clear lacquer; a damn sight quicker too.
I am really looking forward to getting started on the build. The power supply drawing
I put up at the beginning is likely to change, as I have a few ideas; nothing major, but
I'll put up things as the project goes along.

Usually Dave at Danbury says he needs 1 - 2 weeks from receipt of fax, tho that is quite a big order compared to what we're normally asked for on a regular basis, but I have emailed him for an idea for a delivery date.

Bit of reworking in the PSU department:

Output stage screen grid regulator has been revised as a shunt setup, with grounded grid error amplifier,

The main capacitor part of the PSU is now an LC filter, followed by a series of cascaded RC filters,
PSU now has differing voltage take-offs, serving individual sections of the circuit.

Finally got a reply from Dave at Danbury, have to be made specially, so approx. 2 weeks.

I've got an order with him as well, will be the same I expect. Just to show there's no favouritism going on! :D

Just had a count up, about 7 weeks to come up with something for Owston.
