Well just for the sake of something to get it working, any 300B's will do to start with?

I guess.

Ill wait and see what the iron costs are, ive e.mailed them but dont expect a reply untill after all this seasonal rubbish.

No point doing/buying anything untill i have the iron and it may be a little while before ive released enough funds to get that.

Graeme,

I have a much modded WAD KaT6550 power amp which is a 40W pp power amp that is going up for sale in the new year. I just need to get the OPT's back from Ali who has them on loan for his direct drive ESL breadboard amp.

This will drive your 63's and will be within your price limit, but won't have that 300b sound if that's what you are after.

Oh right the other is Gua Guang. Is not the same as Shuguang [Beijing]. Some reckon Gua Guang's better'n Shuguang's, despite being cheaper.

Gets confusing don't it?

What about a circlotron p-p with 300B's?

Ach-shirley, that was my first impression as well when I first saw a circuit ...

WTF ...

Was just an idea that popped into my head all of a sudden
