Rather than steal Steve's thread,I thought I'd start my own.Nick,have you details of how you reworked the PS for this please? Also what you changed the valve to.

If I remember the pre2 needs 100v, what I did was for the phono at 250v.

At 100v, I would be tempted to consider making a shunt reg out of the two triodes in a 6em7.
