The other day i saw (briefly) circular contrails, like smoke rings. Looked amazing.

Similar to this.

Spitfire with a misfire?

It was the same for a few days after 9/11. The lack of contrails lead to a significant increase in sunshine intensity and increased temperatures. Likely to happen for much longer this time.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Seen reports of similar contrails, some claim them to be from a secret military plane using pulse jet technology.

But of course!

Currently watching BBC world news (again).

Just had the weather forecast for the weekend.

Minus 5 degrees!!! Feck off! That's all we need isn't it? That would be absolutely perfect. A foot of snow, ice, freezing north winds. That'll finish the pensioners right off.

Anyone know how Steve C is getting on?

I’m doing fine Mike. Still isolating at home, but feeling a lot better. A bit weak but otherwise unscathed (touch wood) It could have been a mild dose of seasonal flu, but without testing, there’s no way of knowing whether it was seasonal flu, or a mild dose of coronavirus.
Fri last week, when I first reported on here I had to pace myself carefully when climbing stairs otherwise I was hanging onto the walls to stay upright. Let’s just say, that is not the case now.

Very pleased to hear it. I'm having a sort of weird almost sore throat kind of thing going on at the back of my nasal passages, but it won't develop into anything. Almost as if the air is too dry? :?

You are probably right Mike. Have you got a thermometer handy?

Get yourself a humidifier ?

Or leave bowls of water about the house ?

I have a dehumidifer, as it can tend to get damp here, especially in winter. Also I've been using it to dry washing. So could be that.

Can you make one room the "drying room" , and shut the door ?

I find dry air affects my throat.

I went shopping this morning. The car park at Sainsbury looked 1/3 or so full so not bothering with my NHS ticket I went in.

We happy few were kept 2metres apart in a small if long queue. We were let in 1 out one in, so to speak.

There seemed to be plenty of food and a pervasive positive attitude.

I didnt check on the toilet paper stocks though.

And an enormous amount of red wine was missing but still... loads of Corona beer.

I bought stuff for a couple of aged folk too so it could have looked like I was stocking up but no one objected.

And the weather is fabulous.

Now I'm sitting in the garden reading The Dogs of Riga.

I really hope this is as bad as it gets. My aged Dad emailed me from his nursing home reminding me of the Internatoonal Brigade in Spain ( his uncle was a hero, if you were no follower of Franco)
It is great to read his good spirits.

Onwards!
