Did my social isolation today by taking the bike out for the first time this year for a few hours. Originally went towards North Yorks, but decided that the motorway was boring, so turned around and went through Hebden then up through Blackshaw Head across the top to Burnley and back via Todmordon. Nice little jaunt and nothing went wrong. So a win.
Well done Nick.
I renewed my motorcycle insurance with Carole Nash, but there was a problem as they billed me for recovery (£62.00) which I did not need. When I rang up they refused to refund me, so I told them to cancel the policy, which should have been a 100% refund, but they charged me for 3 days cover.
Anyway, I won't go back there in a hurry.
As soon as the refund is processed I'll get cover elsewhere then get the BMW ready for action.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Motorcycle riding is a great way to socially isolate innit. You're outside, away from folk, just enjoying the moment and watching the world go by for a bit.

Drop the "motor" bit and you've hit the nail on it's head!!

Ok, that's it, over to the cycle thread to point out the silly idea of riding a motorbike with no engine. Do you use a rock to hammer in a nail ?
Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.
Joking aside, some people are doing this. On one of the Moto Guzzi forums one chap had to test something on his bike (on-going low speed fuelling problem, so that part is true) so went up and down the A11 "for a box of teabags, that's all that will fit on the bike"
In the US, there was the "Social Distancing Ride" ...?
When they stop anywhere have to stay 6 feet apart.

My definition of fear is having to be a passenger in a UK outfit on a trip to Europe. (further long story involving a Ducati, wrong cam shaft and a visit to a Belgium bike club).
