This is a beautiful recording, and one that sounds like it was done the old fashioned way.
No click track, no time alignment.
It drifts and it swings.

From way back when...
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Today was at NickB’s listening to the very expensive 45rpm reworked version of Fragile. Brilliant! So much bass and voice micro detail exposed and missed on the original recording release. Vinyl of course. Not sure I love it enough to shell out £125 for it though. Maybe I’ll just settle for the occasional listen at my friends home. That costs nothing

Ha!
That Walter Becker album is a slow grower innits. It felt odd listening to almost Steely Dan esque songs not being sung by Donald but once I got over that it was on rotation and I started enjoying it for what it is. Like!

Don't listen to him, Dave - it's an excellent choice

11 Tracks Of Whack was a collaboration between Messieurs Becker and Fagen - Donald has producer credit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/11_Tracks_of_Whack , just as Walter did with Donald's Kamakiriad.
