I thought I was and that the Garmin uploaded/synchronized my rides with it, but I dont think it does. Ride with Geeps still works though, although I dont upload my gnarly commuter rides, they're just too 'hot' y'know .

Ride with GPs ( if you wondered where they all went) I'm afraid
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

I received my new Wahoo Elemnt GPS bike computer yesterday and gave it a try on my commute earlier. I'm impressed so far.
Anyway, it means my Cateye Stealth Evo bike 'puter is surplus to requirements and I thought I would offer it here (FOC) to ATCC members (Mark?).
Its a GPS computer so will record your rides.It interfaces to a Cateye website from whence you can sync to Strava or export data in tcx format for uploading to other services (RidewithGPS for example).It works fine though the battery life per charge is on the decline - still good enough for most of my rides though (typically up to 2-2.5hrs) - pretty sure the battery could be swapped out, probably as a DIY job, though I''ve not looked into it.
Apart from the computer itself I have the charging/sync cradle and two 'out front' bar mounts.
Yours for the cost of the postage?

not sure if I'm a member, or even if I qualify for membership, but I'd be interested if Mark isn't.....

Just bought a big digital SLR and an expensive lens this morning - will keep my brain cells taxed in the next few weeks.

You've got a bike haven't you Ed, so you must be a member. PM me your address and I'll sort out sending it to you. I'll need to remove the mounts so it'll be the weekend. In the meantime you'll find the manuals here;

Second-hand Canon 5D Mk.II and the new Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 which has been getting rave reviews. I had been reading some very good optical tests of modern lenses on a site called Lens Rentals.com (Blog) and it seemed the lens technology was moving on even from the Leica gear of the mid-90's some of which I own. I have been trying to get some good medium-format film shots on the Lake District walks using an old Fuji GW690 6x9 'compact' camera, but the colour shots were lacking saturation. It seemed the time had come to try a digital camera given the 20+ MPix sensors and the best SLR lenses should have enough detail for exhibition 20x16" prints.
Then I checked the local camera shop and they had a very clean s/h Canon body - the decision was made !

Very nice Mark, a full frame digital SLR with video capability as well. Show us some results when you use it.IslandPink wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:27 pmSecond-hand Canon 5D Mk.II and the new Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 which has been getting rave reviews. Icy again this morning - too dangerous to head out yet.
Yesterday morning was the same, really scary black ice made me turn round after about a mile. I managed to get a ride in during the afternoon when it warmed up but I still stayed away from the shady, damp lanes.

Yep. I didn't ride yesterday and won't this morning; it's -2 at the moment and with the rain yesterday, the roads are evil...

Pfffttttt.... I thought the AT-Cycling Team were made of tougher stuff!
Everyday I'm mashing the pedals that grueling 1.6miles in each direction. 'cept for Monday nights mahoosive inner tube blow out, ooooopps, my fault, I'd over inflated the rear 27x 1 1/4 tyre/tube and it let go while parked up at the station during the day.
13st 13lbs, whoot whoot!
