At the Barbican, listening to Simon Rattle and the LSO playing Bruckner Symphony No 6 and Bartók Music for strings, percussion and celeste..

Just watched this on Youtube via the Telly -
One of a great number of OGWT captures out there - will keep me busy for ages !
1973 , this one.
The main reason to post is the really great live footage of MAN. Man they could really play.
See approx. 7:40 for the intro on this.
Then you get Billy Cobham 'Stratus' from tape, with a really annoying film that will force you to turn away to avoid being distracted, but good to hear.
Then a retrospectively amusing panel discussion including Dave D and Richard Williams and others, concluding that the new pub rock scene will never give rise to anything new or ground-breaking in music. 'Course the example clip they have is Dury with Kilburn and the High Roads, for starters !

One of the few chances I have to annoy Dave. I saw Hillage on that tour at De Montfort Hall.
