If you're not seeing the "send PM" option it's because of your lack of posts.
Get your count up a little.

I have been busy these last couple of weeks after a phone call from Ali commissioning me to build him a pair these MLTL coax driver speakers. Of my available stock veneers I had American Cherry, American Walnut and American Oak. Ali chose the Walnut. To keep these as light as possible I decided to finish the veneer in a single coat of satin Acrylic varnish then a light rub down with ultra fine wire wool and light coating of Liberon clear polish. This varnish has built in UV inhibitors so should reduce the effect of darkening with age and exposure to natural light.
I am really pleased how these turned out. Having finished Ali's speakers and had them hooked up to my main system for the past week I am so glad that at the time of receiving the order from Ali I decided to order enough material to build 2-pairs of these speakers. I had forgotten just how good these speakers really are. The amount of detail these coax drivers extract from the recordings is quite astonishing. If you have been following Chris (Stratmangler) thread on what he has been listening to I can fully appreciate his enthusiasm for these speakers. The second pair (also to be finished in the same Walnut veneer) I should have completed by this weekend. Just in time for when Ali (work permitting) comes over to collect his pair.
Here are some photos of the first of the walnut speakers. I have included photos orientated for both W10 and Apple users. Saves having to crook your neck if you are a Apple user. Please let me know if this has worked or not?

Very nice indeed Colin, wasn’t sure about going for the walnut, but they look great.

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number
