I lived in that village in the mid 1970's, it is a nightmare to get there from the M1 and the A1, it is not a good idea. If you have it there I definitely wont be attending it will take nearly as long as getting to Huddersfield.

It's just under 100 miles nearer than Huddersfield for you Richard.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 7:44 pm I lived in that village in the mid 1970's, it is a nightmare to get there from the M1 and the A1, it is not a good idea. It seems as this has been hijacked as a Midlands Bake-off I had better put up another listing for a real Southern Bake-Off meet.

Houghton Village Hall is about an hour and a bit away from me, I may be able to attend and i'd bring a Jolida JD9 as my contribution. I can't confirm as yet due to my work schedule not being published. May also be able to bring a couple of other phonostages too but would have to confirm this at a later date.

Hi Bigman80
I think your offer to attend and supply devices is a very good start.
I,m hopeful that we will get a interest from others and make a booking for the venue.

To far for me to attend but I can supply to you to take either or both Phono1 and Phono2. Either MM or MC but not both.

Hi Bigman80
Go For It.
I think that would help. As I would like to book a date soon.

I was at a vinyl replay meeting as a invited guest on the bank holiday weekend, the organiser expressed a wish to visit Owston as the Self Built Speaker Building Skills was to be seen was of interest to himself.
I will extend our invite to the LH Forum as well, as vinyl is at the heart of this place.

I am differently interesting in attending
#42 Re: Southern Phono Stage Bake-Off
Is that differently or indifferently?

Sounds good! One of the guys on LH has a very nice Sansui I'm hoping to get a listen to.JohnG wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 9:32 am I was at a vinyl replay meeting as a invited guest on the bank holiday weekend, the organiser expressed a wish to visit Owston as the Self Built Speaker Building Skills was to be seen was of interest to himself.

A multi-forum meetup. Sounds a lot more appealing.

Josh, the reason you gave for joining was "Hi. my name is joshua and i live in holland.i see your forum and thought i'de join and discuss my naim system. regards", any chance we are going to hear something about your naim system, or are you just going to be tedious?
