Aaah, thats nice, ta.
We walked down to the Thames the other day and pretended the tyre noise form the M25 was the waves lashing the shoreline.

everything is so surreal these days...We walked down to the Thames the other day and pretended the tyre noise form the M25 was the waves lashing the shoreline.
was that a metaphorical walk, or did you sit in the mud and listen to the far off traffic......
that reminds me, I am now going to listen to the high heel spark....mmmm...maybe see if I can get the sounds in the garden and take a hot coffee with me and lie in the lounger and share the sounds with the neighbours...
mmmm

I feel your pain Andrew. Our usual cliff walk is closed, as are most local beaches, so we’re limited to walking around local lanes. Very beautiful but the sea’s half a mile away and I haven’t seen it for two months.
Very tempted to sneak down at midnight to launch the dinghy. Rowing up and down the estuary is an approved form of exercise (no more than two to a boat, must be from the same family, enforced by patrolling harbour master), but any hint of a sail or an outboard and the village Facebook group erupts in fury. Great fun.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

That odd innit, we live in a very heavily populated bit of suburbia and the Thames Path and riverside is open to all. You live near the coast and I'm guessing its not quite as densely populated but your local coastpath are closed. Erks?! Worlds gone bonkerz.
We're only about a 30-45 min walk from ol' man ribber Thames.

Seems Jeans daughter in law has the Covid virus, so she, Jeans son and 3 children are in proper isolation.

Row row row the boat, gently down the stream......
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Saw a phrase on the BBC website today I would have never expected
Mum is in touch with this underground network of hairdressers who have been working from home.
Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.

Yes, it made me smile - sounds very sinister. Maybe it'll be the theme for the next Dan Brown novel.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Coronavirus: Lockdown remains in Wales but exercise rules eased.
That should please our Mark.

Thanks for the link Phil. I saw some rumour about that earlier.
Unfortunately, looking at the text of that, it gives me nothing useful.
I can exercise twice a day, but that's not particularly useful. If I've done a bike ride or a significant walk, I'm done for the day, usually.
However that will be an improvement for some people, granted.
It doesn't say anything about travelling a short distance by car.
It discourages people from visiting the mountains or beaches ( no change ). That's still a pain in the arse for people who live near a beach or in the mountains. No clear advice for them.
With exercise you are not to travel 'a significant distance from home' . What kind of a statement is that ? - we need numbers, not woolly rubbish like this.
Well, I'll be out on the bike this afternoon anyway.
