Really pleased to hear it ...Paul Barker wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 12:20 pm Im now calling recovery. gradual yesterday but certain today. Biggest identifier is secondary respiration so much better. Still got throat tickle and cough but the breathing I do is yielding the resultant secondary respiration (celular exchange of oxygen for carbon dioxide).
So its 16 days in and recovery started strongly enough to call it.

Good stuff Paul.. glad your doing well
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Hats off to Dave, he's had a proper flip out, and gave a spectacular 'Rant' as per the Topic of the Thread.mainscablesrus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 10:41 pm FFS its impossible to get away from this shit, there are so many thing about this that are totally wrong.
Look how many people die each year from flu and similar virus's plus add the ones that have hardly any immune system left and its been totally blown out of all proportions.
Charlie never had it, Boris neither its just bollox, lets show the public we can get it and survive, pirk them up a bit.
Its tragic for those who have left us and their families but the whole thing is so full of holes its just not right.
As said in the first post, get the madness on here to keep it out of other threads.
Dave can now go off, and offer some Empathy, Considerate, Caring, Support for all his other forum activities .
When his head spins again, this thread will be here to embrace him.
With the math being presented for Loss of Life,
I have seen a math for the Predicted full Impact of COVID 19 on the Globes Population.
I do simple sums, so I will leave the proofing to the more learned on here.
This is a set description given by a Biologist who is involved in conservation.
The Human Population on the Globe is 7.8 Billion, the predicted total loss of life from COVID 19 is 5 Million.
As a percentage of loss this is a 0,00064% or 6/10000ths of 1% reduction as a result of the cull on the Global Population for Humans.
There is a follow up statement that claims when a Cull is being created for another species, the Population reduction that is commonly proposed to ensure the survival of the species is 3%.
There are other concerns expressed about how the COVID 19 outbreak is impacting on the Human Race, but if the figures shown are correct, as a result of the data being surveyed being correct, then it put a different perspective on the present situation, and will show just how quickly a recovery can be achieved, when the situation is behind us.

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

I don't know anyone personally who has expressed the same views as David, but then, being in isolation (ie stop at home), I've not met anyone for a couple of weeks.

I would stick with the sums, 5 million is 0.064% of 7.8 billion unless I am missing something. As a percentage of loss this is a 0,00064% or 6/10000ths of 1% reduction as a result of the cull on the Global Population for Humans.

And yes, that number of deaths is not likely to be a existential threat to the species but the after effects will not be trivial. And by comparison, its a similar number to the holocaust, and I would hope no one is saying that was an event that should be ignored?
Sorry, to skirt with godwin, but it was an example of extra death in that range.

I could see India being the worst mess - people starving to death because they can't work and can't even get home.

And lets not forget Africa and the indigenous tribes in south America. The deaths Mark refers to may not be from this virus, but they will have been caused by it.IslandPink wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 6:23 pm I could see India being the worst mess - people starving to death because they can't work and can't even get home.
