#1 SKY sound problem.

Post by pre65 »

I've rigged up some speakers for the TV.

Digital output on Sky HD box (RCA terminal) to Bushmaster DAC to Sony amp and inexpensive speakers.

Works really well, EXCEPT on any Sky HD channels - live or recorded, when all I get is interference.

Am I doing something wrong ?

I've now tried the optical connection - no difference.

On the Sky box sound settings the optical output can be configured as "Dolby" and "Normal", both settings have the same result.

Unfortunately the Sony amp has no HDMI input.

I tried the optical cable into the LG TV digital outlet, and now I get proper sound on HD as well.

PS Sky box - TV connection is HDMI.
