I thought we fixed that. Well we did in my head at the time but that might not have been too rational! A pie has to have pastry all the way round. Small casserole dishes with pastry caps don’t count. Nigel’s pie on Saturday night was a chicken and ham soup with a pastry cap. That’s really wrong. Same with puddings. A proper steak and kidney pudding must be made and steamed in a basin when the suet mixture surrounds all sides with the snake and pigmy well sealed inside. End of. The debate stops here!
So he never ate it then eh??????????????

You can't change how people treat you or what they say about you. All you can do is change how you react to it.

Probably had the best pie I’ve ever tasted yesterday, puff pastry topping and the dish was lined with pastry as well
The Crown and Tuns is located in Deddington 6 miles south of Banbury, well worth a visit. Prices are somewhat eye watering but the portion size and quality justify them. Two pints of Hook Norton dark IPA and the pie, mash plus veg and I couldn’t move. Stuffed completely.
