#1 Audio Show Leamington Spa

Post by mainscablesrus »

Nick's system this weekend just gone, sounded incredibly good for a hotel room.

Claro Audio Turntable sitting on black ravioli pads with 12" SME Arm and Koetsu cartridge, Nick's new jfet phono stage, Twonshend pre amp, P6 monoblocks (now sold so won't be seen again), IsoTek mains conditioner and Kerr Acoustics speakers.

They are under the deck, and work very well indeed based on my experiences with them.

Like the Reed turntable we used a while back, the Claro seems prone to a bit of mechanical feedback, the Ravioli really helped in this instance.

Reckon that’s about the best sound we’ve had at a show, had loads of positive comments.

The new Jfet phono was particularity good I though in the brief spell of hearing it, hopefully a god review in HiFi World magazine in the next few days.

Well the show succeeded or so it seems as its back next year at the same venue.

I sneaked into the Longdog room on Sunday morning to have a listen, I wish I could replicate that sound in my own listening room, it was fabulous.
