I had a ride over to Harley dealership in Preston this morning as they had a special launch event for the new 2018 Sportster range of bikes. Thought I'd just pop along to see what changes, if any, there are to the Superlow1200T that I own. Seems only a paint job change and a price hike. So I won't be upgrading to a brand new 2018 model.
However, whilst there I must admit I was sorely tempted to trade in my superlow for the bike below. Not within the Sportster range of Harleys but within the big boys toys range:
Bike is 1-yr old with very low mileage. Glad I left my cheque book at home.

Saw a 1974 moto guzzi 750s today. Absolutely gorgeous. Ive always liked guzzis since I had a go on a daytona years ago. My ideal bike

I could be very tempted with a Metisse Mk 5 street scrambler.

187Kg dry. I Iike my bikes to be nimble and I find it reassuring knowing I have a chance to get a bike off me if ever I should end up underneath those hot exhaust downpipes.pre65 wrote: ↑Sat May 12, 2018 11:06 pm I could be very tempted with a Metisse Mk 5 street scrambler.

Actually I was very impressed DTB had mud on his Enfield, my AJS only ever comes out of hibernation on really sunny days...

It did, it did, witnessed, verified, box ticked! It doesn't rattle at all, or smoke, its the smoothest sounding most clatter-free thumper I've heard so far. There must be summat wrong with it

Well? Just because it’s got a sensible number of wheels and doesn’t fall over doesn’t mean we don’t want pictures!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

There's a lot to do, like the heater matrix the original owner forgot to tell me about...nice drive in the sun yesterday, thought I'd move the hot air slider just to see if it...err would move, as you do... a torrent of boiling hot water sprayed all over my feet! %@$%$&^$%&%^.... I won't be doing that again until I've looked at it.

The jewel that is the X1/9, everything the Italians do best, and worst. Funnily enough I was looking at one on Autotrader (there was only one) two days ago. Soooo tempting, especially as it was an early one without the thick lip! I must resist....
Update, that one’s gone but now there’s this. Get thee behind me!

two wheels (of the pedalling kind) wonderous, four wheels good.

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.
