Cheers Phil, I take it you are still with us then, last post seemed to indicate that the power on time was getting near.

Yep, you could always build yourself a tesla coil as a birthday present to yourself. (I've thought about doing this just so my kids can play guess what DIY project my dad did for us last weekend with the other kids on a Monday morning...)

Yep, you could always build yourself a tesla coil as a birthday present to yourself.
Now there is a thought, as it happens, I just named the stray cat I found wandering in the middle of the road Tesla :-)

He can't be that much of a bright spark if he was found wandering in the middle of the road!
He wasn't. It was a busy road out of Bradford, he had either been hit (but no sign of damage) or was suffering from hyperthemia as he was drenched, or had just escaped being drown and just standing in the middle of one lane. What stunned me was everyone just drove around him, so I parked and went to try and get him off the road, thinking he would run awaybut he didn't he just stood there, so I had nothing left to do but bring him home.He spent the first ween in a cage in the music room next to the 211, untill we saw if he and anything obviously catching. He is now in the house in a cage, getting him used to the dogs, (and them him)
