#1 Sept Bake-off

Post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

First a point of order to the chair. Over many years I have given Dave at MCRU a hard time, and being a retailer I am afraid in some ways it will still continue. BUT during that time Nick and others have said you must meet him. Well now I have and he is not the flash 2nd hand car salesman he has always come across as, he is a normal down to earth Yorkshire bloke and a pleasure to be with.

Sooooo I must thank him and Nick for their efforts and to say I hope you make them monthly themed events. The venue is spot on, big enough for a decent gang. I doubt if I will make that drive again, but may get a train to an odd one that takes my fancy. Why can't a rail company get their finger out and get a direct London service, there is too much pissing around with local trains at the moment. I think it is the largest town in the UK without a direct service.

Anyway, you lot, get to the future ones they are almost worth 9 hours driving.

If you book far enough in advance the train fares are quite cheap.

Another meet is planned for September for certain.

At the moment I can't decide what to do though as regards content.
You can't change how people treat you or what they say about you. All you can do is change how you react to it.
