The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Ta Dave, keep it up mate it shows good taste and good dealer logic. Other retailers should think and try and contribute and help, not just slurp. We are all part of the same industry and hobby. Shows you in a good light old boy.

Speakers - far from clear cut as the phono stage one largely was, because they all had different assets. BIG and impressive, delicate and detailed, effortless, or just different. I obviously favour the semi omnis from NVA and Cressy as for me the music is more natural, but others want the home PA, and that room is large. Given that, for me the best compromise of the afternoon for that room was the red home made ones, I would say they edged it. Sorry I forget names. But others could well appreciate other assets more.

Actually, I thought Dave (B) was planning on doing a 300B compare/contrast listening session the week before wasn't he, or did that get sidelined? I've got some KR300B's and another pair of TJ's (I think) I was going to bring to that one as it turns out we're up near Huddersfield last week of October.

Alert the guards etc etc etc

Yes I'd be up for 300Bs
Don't have any to bring but would be interested in hearing different 300Bs into those Maxonic speakers.

How about a mad amp week? Phil’s 801s, the GM70s Nick built for Colin (iirc), an OTL of some sort, and didn’t someone build monoblocs into hostess trolleys once? All the really off the wall stuff that’s been done here over the years...
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
