Ouch!
Sorry to hear about your unplanned close-quarters ground inspection Ray, hope you heal quickly.

Best of luck with recovery Ray. I had a crash like that back in the 90's locally where a descent steepened towards a very tight corner, just as I was registering the need to pull-up hard, the road became covered in gravel and I went down on my left side, banged my head quite hard and had to be checked at hospital.

I've got some work to do - she says I have to sell the bikes and use the gym instead.
I'll distract her by providing something else to berate me over - I don't know what it'll be yet so I'll just carry on as normal and something will crop up! I know what it won't be though, I'll not get a telling off if my chopper does drop off!

Try building a folded bass horn in the front room .

Try modding a cd player on the dining room table and refuse to move it all at teatime

^ Not a joke I gather.
@ Ray, bluddy hell.
Many years ago a workmate was a bit serious about road racing. (By "a bit" I mean, actually quite serious.) One year he had a big off and that was the end of his season that year. Nothing broken but too banged up to get back up to scratch that year.

See, it didn't take long. I'm resting up on the sofa bed in the spare room because it feels more comfortable than our lounge sofa; apparently I'm doing it to ignore her!
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Double Ouch, but I like the distraction plan, trouble is, girls are dead clever so we have to be dead cleverer even than that.
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Suffering a bit more today, the back muscles are really stiff. I'm going to try a short walk up the road to see if I can get a bit more flexibility back.
Selling the bikes hasn't been mentioned so far today...

Yeh. Our thoughts are with you! Don't sell the bikes (hide them for a bit, maybe)...

Danger is all around us.
I was on the East Lancashire Railway today, got off the train at Ramsbottom, slipped on a slippery wet paving stone and ended up flat on my back.
That was about 3pm and I'm starting to feel the pains now.
