Happy birthday our Ray, and top rides all round team. I’ve only been doing local loops again due to being fully engrossed in the 350 Bullet dismantling.

Interesting, even though I haven't been doing any mega-rides for about 2 months I don't seem to have lost any pedaling power up to the 1 hour mark by only doing the 14 mile or so local rides. Have other members of 'the squad' found that too? Do your cycle lungs and legs stay with you as long as you do a modicum of solid riding?

Pretty much, in fact after I take a break from riding for a week I find I generally go even better when I do get out...Dave the bass wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 7:23 pm Have other members of 'the squad' found that too? I do at least 7miles every day just on the work commute.
I do yoghurt most days too, mostly with my muesli for breakfast.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Yoga dearest! Yoga
Yogurt is one of the things I've cut out my daily diet, there was a lot of sugar in the type we were eating as a sweety nibble after dinner.

I generally have natural live yoghurt, sans sucre, often with some fresh raspberries, strawberries, etc. I've also been trying the no added sugar Benecol drinks on my breakfast, the supposedly cholesterol reducing ones; haven't measured any cholesterol change (haven't measured it for a while, period) but they do seem to be a step in the right direction and taste fine. I have cut right back on my processed sugar intake overall but it's added to so many things it can be a devil to keep within my daily 'allowance'; I've been using the 'MyFitnessPal' app for a while to help keep me aware of what I'm eating

I've been pedalling on myself but have been a bit quiet as I don't want to be repetitive.
I've been riding strongly setting lots of personal best sectors, including, very pleasingly, on a lot of climbs. On the spin bike in the gym last week I maintaind an average power output of 234Watts for twenty minutes, equating to a virtual average speed of 23mph.
Anyway, here's yesterdays early morning effort;

That's a good average speed going on there Ray, well done fella.
I was 'spent' at the 30 mile marker, the last 15 were hard work. That's where my stamina has dropped orf.

There's no stopping you !
Well, I took the bike out today for the first time in a long while. Just the usual 16 or 17 mile round trip to Llanbedr DC and back. Felt rather rusty, and my feet got v.cold towards the end, but it was nice & clear and sunny so the views were good.
So I haven't been out on the bike lately, but was wondering if a number of mountain walks over the last few weeks can be taken into consideration ?

Some of those names look made-up : specifically Limpley Stoke and Odd Down.

You're correct there I'm sure Mark.
But then again, I've always thought that Limpley Stoke was a well-known medical condition that affected males in cold winter months.
