Good!
I wouldn't want to see your membership of the AT Cycling Club lapse.

Just ask your butler to help you get your right leg over the crossbar.

Aaah, good idea, I didn't think of that.IslandPink wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 7:51 pm Just ask your butler to help you get your right leg over the crossbar.
I've taken a DIY approach and have been trying to hoist myself onto the saddle with a ceiling-mounted rope and tackle, managed it once and thought someone had nicked the handle bars. Turns out I was facing the wrong way, I need to reacquaint myself with the finer details of cycling again perhaps.

I hear there are websites that'll help you get your leg over nowadays.IslandPink wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 7:51 pm Just ask your butler to help you get your right leg over the crossbar.

Had a similar experience myself once. Came out of a friend’s house in total darkness, as dark as only a Devon night can be. Crossed road with arms outstretched until I located car. Felt my way around car to door. Entered car. Found no steering wheel. Panicked briefly, then worked out that Mother’s borrowed Renault 4 had two more doors than I was accustomed to and I was sitting in the back seat. Genuinely disturbed for a few seconds though.Dave the bass wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 7:59 pm managed it once and thought someone had nicked the handle bars.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
