If I were you, Steve, I'd call that a result.

What's your blood pressure like Paul?

S's a funny thing about high dairy fats. I've never liked cream or butter. It makes me physically ill as, oddly, so too can almost all fish. Six weeks in Vietnam, where there were no dairy products at all led me to suspect that all that heart burn/ reflux stuff could be cheese. As the reflux disappeared. Aaaaarrrrggggh! Cheese aka mature gorgeous cheddar has been a life staple, most particularly when I was a veggie. Since Vietnam I don't eat cheddar then no reflux. If I do Lanzoprasol just works. I haven't eaten cheddar for a couple of months (sob) but neither have I needed lanzoprasol nor gaviscon neither. Thought I'd add that plant stanol margarine to the very few slices of toast I do eat but not even being polite will induce me to eat butter if I can possibly avoid it. This for me is a result. With cream and butter of course for me it's easy. But cheese....oh boy. Wine? Oh boy doubled.

Ali, as you are aware of the old white coat trick I'd say your blood pressure results sound good. Accept them particularly if they are reliably repeatable.

There's loads of other things to worry about! Oooopps sorry, wicked. :---)

That's brilliant Steve - good on ya mate.

I'm halfway between a 32 and a 34 myself now - feels good doesn't it.

Dead since March, the thread LIVES AGAIN!

104.5 this morning. Pants.

Mission is on for the next 10 weeks, focusing on habit changing. Then I have another SERIOUS challenge for myself next year, that'll require 8 months of training plus several new skills...

No, I used to, then my best friend and his girlfriend were killed on one, then my stepbrother was killed.

Then I stopped.

Well I've lost the plot.... I blame part of it on doing 101miles and I'm 63 and more than a half, also travelling and enjoying the best wines I can afford with a base line of being a lazy bastard. I haven't put on any weight and then I'm busy. I have a couple of days free next week and then a little cottage in the Shore of Windermere awaits the week after. The guitar demands two hours a day at least and then the cooking cleaning ironing and washing up...and the coffee shops in town.

I miss my bike... But I am an alcoholic.

Favourite places in UK at the moment are Norwich and Nottingham. Both wonderful, friendly and stimulating...sort if the ultimate opposite if Bishops Auckland and Cleator Moor near Whitehaven, oh my

Too many cars on the road for safe motorcycling these days and too many toys to distract the drivers. Not sure if I'll ever buy another. I do hanker after another Italian V twin though.
