Just been polishing the platter on the dual, and it occurred to me that the autosol I was using was bought in 1994... To polish up the 2 into 2 exhaust on the cx500 mi dad bought to commute to university!
Iirc, the cans were OK, but the collector box was completely shot, a 2 into 1 motad went on it when one of the cans started drooping. Tinworm in the short pipe on the back of the collector box that the can fitted to.
I remember a telephone call to Dave silver spares re a genuine Honda system culminating in a loud 'how much!!? "
Fond memories of the ugliest bike...... In The world.

I also remember it having gold painted rocker covers that were stripped and polished, reverse comstar wheels that has a bare alloy edge to the spoke edge that needed polishing, a blown head gasket on the left hand cylinder that was stripped and sorted, and worn rockers on one side. It tapped on that side no matter how well the tappets were adjusted. And a ripped seat cover that was replaced, and the ugliest king and queen seat ever made that was on it for a while. Made ugly into hideous.
And the best grab rail for a pillion I've ever used, the bikes I've ridden always seemed to have crap grab rails, worst was my mates sprint st, scared the crap out of me trying to hold onto that bloody thing when I was on the back of it. Much better to ride it when he was away either deployed or on exercise.
If that cx hadn't been so butt ugly it would have been a classic

My wife remains unconvinced.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

BPM !?
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

The Finns aren’t like other people.

In a good way.
