Put in a twelve hour shift of wallpapering yesterday, starting at 11am and finishing at 11pm. Apart from a little paint touching in and new curtain pole to go up, the job is about done. One DIY marathon and one near divorce later the Christmas decorations can be put up and the hi-fi reinstalled.

Or, the toroid could be overheating (windings going loose)

Went out with some friends for a Christmas folk dance at Halsway Manor last evening. Great Fun and great food! The dance was a part of their Christmas House Party - a lucky group are staying there until Dec 27th.

Halsway Manor is the National Centre for Folk Arts, located only about 25mins drive from us and they run a lot of workshops and excellent concerts.

It's a beautiful old manor house - at this time of year, when you walk into the panelled and vaulted entrance hall you're met with a blazing log fire and a 20ft Christmas tree. It's not snowed down here since March but this is picture has a nice seasonal feel to it;

Oh, it seems it's started to snow!
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

#10091 Nixie porn...

Post by jack »

Dalibor Farney Nixie clock with tubes he made himself from scratch. A true work of art from a genuine craftsman... Also, a classic NixieSat from Jeff Thomas, for comparison, with Z568M tubes. Dalibor's tubes are a replica homage of the original Z568s. He has videos on YouTube showing how he makes these. It's simply awesome...
