I thought "interesting" was a DJ in his spare time ?

Anyone had anything detrimental due to the stormy winds today ? I've had a couple of short term power losses so far, and the trees I can see through my front window are merrily swaying in the breeze. I hope they have strong roots.

Just looked at the forecast for Low Moor (Bradford) and they predict heavy snow showers on Monday PM.

Blowing a hooley here - we're on top of a big hill, completely exposed to the SW where all the crap is coming from...

Put (appropriately named) breeze blocks on top of each hive least they take an involuntary leap into the unknown...

Power is currently (!) OK but have lit the woodburners, charged all torches etc. The important stuff on-site (i.e. my workshops) are now all protected by UPSs and thus I'm happy!

Expected to get worse, peaking mid afternoon, but being rubbish all day...

I don't think it was too bad here, no branches off or slates anywhere. It was at its worst overnight, though.
It's just been very wet, there's a great puddle across the exit from the yard - always a sign. Plus, my car looks like it's been jet-washed - result :)

Currently in South Somerset. Pretty wild first thing this morning but dying down now.

Dog was terrified.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Ah, Ramsbottom. I've spent many a happy hour at the railway station. :D
