My car insurance renewal from the AA came today.

HOW MUCH ?

After looking on comparison sites I managed to get it for under half the AA quote. £200 saved. :D

It does not pay to be loyal with any insurance - always shop around.

Brilliant!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

I hadn’t realised Microsoft are to buy Github for an eye watering $7.5bn

Given Microsoft track record with take overs I really hope this is not the end of Github, I have no idea why MIcrosoft are interested in it other than the large user base.... presumably to generate revenue from them.

As it happens some Microsoft dev folk talked me into moving the OS project (unixODBC) I maintain into GitHub, and then provided a nice big list of bugfixes. However if it all goes wrong at GitHub moving to another is is no big deal, and its mirrored in SourceForge as well.

I would be more worried if I used GitHub commercially though.

I've been I little quieter on the forum as of late. Nothing like a bit of pressure... had my mum in and out of hospital these last 3 months. The mother in law in and out of hospital with pneumonia. And we lost the father in law 3 weeks ago to cancer.
In between all that we organised a wedding that happened last Saturday..
Just close family and a few friends. Then a few days away.
So me and Lesley, after 16 years of very happy co habiting are now married. And she's not pregnant before you ask!!
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Sorry you've both had such pressures recently, but congratulations on getting spliced. :D

Jonny Wilkinson and his fiance just snuck into a local Mairie,
roped in a couple of strangers as witnesses and got married.

Way to go!

Zero v ac....
Cant use any of my fecking tools now. Went 110v with everything as I work outside alot so it seemed sensible.
