ooh. Swimbo did that for one of my birthday presents last year, plus hire of a 4+4 for the day....

Should point out that the 4+4 was a very tight squeeze...

Fawlty Towers: Communication Problems

I don't mean to be rude but do you by any chance have a hearing aid?

A what?

A hearing aid!

Yes I do have a hearing aid.

Would you like me to get it mended?

Mended? It's working perfectly alright.

No it isn't.

I haven't got it turned on at the moment.

Why not?

The battery runs down.

Kawai CA78 - latest model.
Snap! Mine is a CA78 and it has proved totally reliable and a constant source of pleasure. It really is a quality instrument (as it should be for the price) and I'm sure you would not be disappointed with it. I spent some time searching the UK for stockists but eventually bought from Thomann in Germany for a price lower than that obtaining here. I'm not familiar with the spec of the latest incarnation but I suspect most of any differences between that and my 2009 model probably are marketing "improvements". Never looked back.

As an irrelevant aside, I lived on Gonzo (Xewkija) for five years but this was a long time ago when it was a very different place.

Trying to buy some bits in Maplin's closing down sale but add to basket doesn't work (constantly 'busy') and can't sign in - which used to work :(

Just a reminder - clocks move this weekend. In that spirit, here's a rare photo of National Trust staff at Stonehenge adjusting for DST:

Later add to basket worked, so managed to order some sleeving and wire as a 'guest'.

I've been to pick up my new ESL57 speakers today.

Probably won't get to install them till Monday due to being busy till then.

Thanks to Richard Higgins for his hospitality, and showing me his work in progress live steam model locomotive. :D

This retirement lark is harder than actual work! LOL. I’ve not stopped, getting very near to the end of a tricky system upgrade for my local sports club where I get a bit of pay for my help. All the back end membership admin stuff was completed a while ago like payments etc (we have a good developer!) and last week we installed a new RFID electronic door entry system linked to the back office DB so we can see who is coming into the club. Yesterday we installed the bar PoS system again linked which not only involved the setup of all the prices/discounts etc but removal of all the legacy hardware. Next week the final piece is an on-line squash court booking system with automatic light control timed to bookings that will replace the old one. More hardware trashing and biting of finger nails!

After which I will need a holiday... :D

Good idea!

I haven't been up to any shenanigans like that but Anna needed to get away so we're soaking up gentle sunshine on the Strand in Valleta!

Gozo tomorrow.
