#11506 Re: Nothing In Particular
Jeans Lenovo laptop went on a go slow last week. I tried all the things I knew to rectify the situation, and after all those failed I swapped over the hard drive from an old laptop and that worked OK.
So, I ordered a new hard drive from Ebuyer and it was delivered this morning.
Using my no 2 PC I fitted the suspect drive, and the new drive in a USB caddy, then using my laptop for instructions I cloned the slow drive.
Everything went smoothly, and now Jean has a fast laptop again, infact faster because I uprated the memory from 6GB to 8GB, swapping a 2GB for a 4GB from the old laptop.
This might be easy-peasy for all you IT experts but I feel good getting it done.

Didn't need one, and a 1TB too expensive.
A normal drive does what Jean wants.

just happened to look at flightradar this morning...it's got very busy again...interestingly a lot more smaller planes than are usually flying.
sadly I think this will be incremental which will smear any cut and dried environmental statistics.

costly little jaunt.....
in fuel probably about £70...but there may have been landing fees...
if he'd done it 6 months ago the fuel might have cost £200...
I think I'd want to stay for a bit of a swim after shelling out that much.....but it seems he more or less came straight back....I'm suspecting ulterior motives....

Being as he landed at a military air base without prior permission he was lucky to be able to get away at all.ed wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 5:08 pm costly little jaunt.....

I'm sure the MPs would have loved it if he had gone down to the beach.
