Well today, for a piCnoc we snuck up Finsthwaite onto the top to gaze down on the slivery splendour that was Windermere. Wedged by rocks and comfort taking a secondary posting so to speak we munched wonderful sandwiches and swigged soup from the flask as the wind howled overhead and the rain sheeted down the valley onto the passenger steamers. We were snuggling and warm until it was time to go home. Where we mostly missed the rain. I phoned my sister who was clearing up after the blow down near Ravenglass and ratty railway and the sun was shining and she was cheerful so storm, what storm eh!

Arrrgh. Would you Adam and Eve it. Sky+ box died last week, bought a ‘repair’ kit that errrrr didn’t so bought an HD box off Amazon. Great, all good, new features to us most welcome then I thought I would just check the DVD player. Turned it on, seemed ok then came that ominous sound of a PSU cap letting go...sure enough the main cap has died, so I replaced it but no dice it’s dead as a parrot.

Don’t think it is worth repairing as I think they are quite cheap these days, why do these thing go in pairs....grrrrrr r

Thanks both, its only taken me 18 years to get this far!

I used to commute to work in London in the late 90's on it but it got a bit too maintenance-heavy (and I got lazier...) so the W650 replaced it and then the little CBF125 replaced the 104,000 mile W650. All that time it had been in big bits down my shed, but I'd been using the frame and rack as a work bench for all those speaker builds I built in the meantime since meeting you lot before I got Mega-Shed. I really when to town on stripping and cleaning it all, everything was covered in sawdust, can't think why :) This is the carb...

I don't need a (motor) bike to commute on anymore so I'm hoping to sell the CBF to finance the Insurance and tax on the Bullet plus some spares I need to get it though the MOT next year.

Getting there.
