Wow I'd heard he'd been taken ill and a plane he was on had to make an emergency landing?
Was never a massive fan but thought he was OK. Still often played on Radio 2 etc.

Now that was a shock. I just finished off the evening by spinning "Ballad of Dorothy Parker" from my vinyl copy of Sign O The Times which I bought in 1988 at the age of 16. There aren't going to be any famous people left at this rate.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Didn't know how many other artists songs he'd written ... if you see what I mean ... for exampe only just found out he wrote The Bangles' hit 'Manic Monday'
