I have been using a WAD K5881 MKI in the original build.
After driving it with a Slagle AVC I have been very impressed with the performance, it has surpassed all I was expecting from it.
This has got me thinking about if there is any further performance improvements that can be had through modification to the K5881.
If anyone knows of any works that can be done for a reasonable cost, that will uplift the K5881 performance, I am all ears.

Needs to get out more

Converting to mkII makes it different not necessarily better imho or you could experiment by lowering feedback and maybe put a constant current source in the tail of the phase splitter...
Only the Sith deal in absolutes.
