For all the stunning wood-based 301/401 units shown there, i stil think slate is the best you can do for those turntables.
The WE 16a speakers are fab though - and circa $35,000+ a pair, if you can find any .

Agree completely. Furthermore, your local high density Welsh Blue Slate is probably the absolute best.. It is after all the hardest and most compressed slate currently known to the world. I use it and like it with my Garrard 401.
