#1 811a top cap size

Can anyone confirm the 811a top cap size ?
Data sheets list it as medium, but other web sites suggest it's large.
I have 3/8" to hand but the bigger 9/16" I don't.
9/16" = 14.3mm = 0.56"

Phil the data sheet I have says it's a JEDEC No C1-5. If that means anything to anyone?

I'm now fairly sure it is the 9/16" sized ones, so HFC here I come.

Phil,
to add confusion the Amperex data sheet for 811 says it's 0.566" +/- 0.007"

Yep, that's right Colin.

Not exactly, cos the Egyptian Royal cubit was between 523mm and 529mm so not an EXACT length.
Have you got a very old exercise book with all those defunct measurements on the back cover ?
I think the railways still use miles and chains (66 feet - 80 per mile) for measuring distances.

Nah 'twas Google.
No not exact, so I opted for 526 as an average.
Shame about the royal cubit, our dimensions could have been written with a touch of class
