How might this driver be on an open baffle ?

OK I reckon.

It might need screws or glue to hold it on though othewise it'd fall off.

Sound wise, I have no idea though.

Hope that helps :)

Lets take a look...

- Low Qts, so it'll need propping up in the bass department. Probably aim for a crossover around 3-500Hz.
- Coaxial design means anything above the crossover only goes forwards, so you'd need to add a rear tweeter if full-range dipole radiation is desired.
- Quite a lot of Xmax, so if you were inclined, you could probably EQ it flat to quite low. Might get away with 100Hz and go to a dedicated subwoofer. I know that won't be a popular option around here, though, but thought I'd mention it. With some DSP and an 8" sub, you'd have a nice little system.

We've heard the unit in a BVR (Big Vent Reflex), and I thought it was quite good. Bear in mind that it will need an additional crossover and the impedance curve might not be as benign as a full-range unit. Implementing that driver with a bass driver for a 3-way system would be non-trivial.
