It's literally a drop in replacement, so it should be easy enough to, with the minimum of soldering work.

My new loaded scratchplate has landed in the country.
Sadly HMRC have charged me £38 or so for the privilege.
Good news is that it's down for delivery on Tuesday.

I could, but then that PRS would be living with me, which is probably not the ideal solution from your perspective
Best liberate it yourself.....
An acoustic amp is not a priority - the yammie has this miraculous wooden box attached to it, and this wooden box has the amazing effect of making the sound of the resonating strings louder

Getting there.
I do have one advantage - I'm not a beginner.
At the moment my left hand hurts from have to stretch my fingers further apart and also from the increased pressure it takes to cleanly fret notes.
