Currently we're still short of getting it all working despite a fair bit of email and two phone conversations during the weekend !
Its not got far to go, we have the Pi on the network talking via WiFi. LMS installed on a PC and seeing the rips, and LMS sees the Pi.

All that is left is getting the Pi to talk to the USB input to the DAC, which should be trivial, at least I was last time I did it, its just the problem of remote configure of the Pi when I dont have one here to compare what Mark is seeing to.

There's just a bit of dense material lodged somewhere in the chain between Nick and the USB socket on the DAC :D

:? I'm confused, JPlay doesn't organise files, it's a highly optimised USB music player for Windows platforms?

Sorry, read it as jriver for some reason! :drunken:

No haven't tried it, having enough trouble at the moment, Roon suddenly decided to run really badly, so I've bought another pc so I can run Roon headless.

You reckon it's better than using Roon to play?

I have a good friend who I completely trust who swears by it as his Roon player. I'm in the process of installing it to give it a try. I did use it for several years some time back and it was very good then.

A free demo version of Jplay is available;

Not sure if there would be much if any benefit with the Mytek dac, as the usb input is reclocked anyway.

Might give it a try though.

Give it a try, you might be suprised Ali; I use reclocking and can hear differences between players.

I've just set-up JPlay and had a listen with my eadphone amp - very good.

Very good - but haven't had any chance for critical listening yet - or indeed much listening. Will keep you posted !
