Just a general question for those who listen to radio via their Squeezebox.
What do you think of the quality verses a decent FM tuner ?
This question is for those who do, not those who do not.
Another question, is streamed radio meant to be high quality ?
Squeezebox radio quality ?

No longer have my squeezeboxes but when I did I found the radio was OK for background listening while doing my chores but didn't really do it for me when I wanted to 'listen' and quality was quite variable as per Nick's points.. We now have a very convenient Pure DAB portable for the chores and I no longer bother with Internet radio on my music server.

It would be nice to hear what others think about Squeezebox radio compared to a quality FM production. Phil already knows my take on this, but what others think would be very interesting.

What Nick says... I have heard some extraordinarily fab stations and some interestingly substandard ones.
But I very rarely listen to music on radio, so it is a function on my SBs which is nearly redundant.

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

I've been listening to Smooth 95.3 (Sydney Australia) all day and evening.
Even the adverts are interesting.
TBH it's been mainly background music, but the quality is fairly good.
Try picking that up on an FM tuner with roof aerial.
